Hi, no i'm not using an illegal copy of IPB forums but i'm just begin curious what happens if someone is using it...
What happens if IPB Team finds it and what can they do? how much can IPB make them pay or maybe even sue them..?

I'm just making my own forums software and i would like to know!

Nah, first they keep you about 20-25 years in their private prison, IP.Prison, it's like Alcatraz.

They'll send you an e-mail telling you to buy a license for IP.Board, and if you don't want they will take with host and will tell them to close your forum, i think they will give you some time (i think 7 days, i'm not sure), then if you don't do nothing they will maybe they will sue you.

But if you don't have over 16 years they will sue your parents.

So : Just buy it!

All customers must enter a link in Client Center on where they use IP.Board license. If someone reports you they will search in database for your domain, and if isn't there that means that it's nulled.

We have a listing of all licensed IP.Board installations so we can tell in seconds if a board is legal or not - and we'll not hesitate to take the appropriate action against any unlicensed boards.
