i played around and sifted through the code in the sys_article_view (maybe show?) in the templates and made me own.. since its a sports website i tried to create something similar to espn.com articles as far as layout and simplicity. I still need to add the "features" in there which will be a few custom views of article archives as well as just some links to the radio area and other site features.

I made it easy on myself and actually just created a table in dreamweaver and plucked the code i needed into the different areas.. and formatted the text accordingly.. obviously not the right way to do it with the CSS available but it got the job done in a hurry for me..

thanks, im enjoying it as well, the more i figure out the happier i am with it overall, its pretty easy to customize something like this in a short time, i spent a total of an hour, first design it in photoshop, then sliced the pieces i needed and made the table, then just tinkered with it live until everything fit just right..

tho it starts a vicious cycle, i learn something new while changes one aspect and feel the need to go back and redo parts of the site and get them up to par, seemingly a never ending cycle..

well, looks ok but i would do it a bit different.

maybe its only the banners but i think your listen now "ad" will be seen better if it is wrapped be the article..?

thanks for the input, I am going to add more links and articles to that area where the radio link is, I would like to have images of the articles content within the articles themselves, but cant seem to get the text to wrap around an image within an article.
