The girls who attacked the girl in that video a few weeks ago are being charged with a felony and as adults.
I personally think that is a great decision. They supposedly showed no remorse when arrested and laughed sarcastically about it at the time of the arrest also. And the parents of one of the accused just showed where she got it from... She was constantly taking up for her daughter, who has been arrested before and had a restraining order against her by her ex-boyfriend who she stabbed with a pen and stalked.

I never really understood the whole juvenile vs. adult thing. If you can try children as adults then why not just get rid of the terms and treat each case with the sensitivity that I think each issue like this truly deserves.
It bothers me that all of these rules are bent so arbitrarily.

Yeah, I think it's stupid also. Laws related to people under 18 give totally different impressions. Some say they are too dumb to make decisions (alcohol, gambling, own apartment, sex, cigs, etc...) and then some others say they are smart enough to know what they are doing. Also I don't like how someone can commit the same crime, the same way, feel the same amount of remorse, and get no prison time one place and say 30 or 40 years somewhere else. In the same COURT, in fact, someone with nor ecord could probably get a MUCH more severe punishment than someone else with no record, just based on who is making the decision.

Ever notice the blindfold on the statue that depicts the judiciary branch of the US? "Justice is blind".

Good. They were acting real dumb. Glad to see them possibly go away for awhile.
