You are now developing the new IP.Board 3 and update us every week about this new version , i know that you are still work on the IP.Nexus very hard.
But i see that you do not care about the Nexus as you do for the IPB3.
.what application will be released first ?

I'm making a guess here, and I have no knowledge so again this is purely a guess, I think IP.Board 3 *may* be of higher priority, but then again it might not.
One look at the tracker will tell you that Josh is still working very hard on fixing issues for beta 8.

They've almost certainly been talking about IPB 3 more lately because it is their flagship product. It doesn't necessarily mean one is a higher priority than the other, they just have a larger user base for the board software.

They have different developers for each project.

I'm assuming Board 3.0 would have a higher priority - as Michael said, it is their flagship product.
Nexus has been in multiple betas now, so it may be released first, but at this point, it's up in the air.

I don't think that they are going to add new features to Nexus, so they are just going to resolve the bugs
But on the other hand, IPB 3 is going to be done from scratch, so they will need more time and people on it
We could see Nexus, IPB, IP Gallery, IP Blog and IP Downloads, released all at the same time

Its more than likely that Gallery, Blog, and Downloads will be released with IPB3 as they will all need huge updates

I think that Nexus needs a weekly blog update aswell. Much more interesting to follow the progress that way.

You do know we have more than one developer right? Both are being worked on.

i do have to agree with theotherone slightly on this issue, since ipb3 development has started the development on nexus has dropped off dramatically. We've had no updates and no0nes been updating the downloads. Things seem to have stalled i know Josh is working on it but down to one developer from the team is a slowdown. I know ipb3 is a priority but as things stand we all know thats gonna take ages before it releases and its not a big deal because we have ipb 2 to keep us going till that happens but us interested in nexus has nothing else to rely on. I think you should push out nexus before you shift everything into ipb3.

I really don't think IPB3 is that far away, if they are aiming for Q4, thats not far at all
Mark.

It's funny, when they were updating us lots on Nexus' progress, everyone complained IPB and components wasn't getting enough attention - now they are giving IPB attention, everyone is still complaining.

Part of the thing about Nexus to keep in mind is that there is a ton of infrastructure and backend stuff that needs to be in place before it can be released. Documentation, developer docs, payment pages and backend config needs to be setup, website needs to be updated and so on.
Both IPB and Nexus are in full development. I have no idea which will be released first, but I assure you that neither is being forgotten.

i weren't complaining, its kinda like the story of Tantalus, you've shown us what we can have but said we can't have it. With ipb3 we have no idea what it is yet.
