I played a PS for awhile to see how the game played. It was okay but to me too cartoonish for my tastes. I reverted to Lineage 2, seems more professional and better graphics / realism.

Lineage 2 was a pretty good game. WoW's graphics are a bit cartoonish but this has been MUCH to their advantage. It reflects the style of art they've always used the series and it allows them to spend a lot more time on detail instead of simply polygon counts and shaders. I think WoW is the best looking MMORPG on the market. When you're in a raid of 40 people each of them looking different, with different auras, spells casting, ect.. it's visually stunning.

This is quite addictive lol managed to get to level 8 now, and completed a few quests may have to get the proper version once the trial is up ..

yes you keep your username & password and any characters associated with it. Even when you get the game you can cancel your account and come back later. I stopped paying for a year and then came back and just continued from where I was.

I'd recommend getting the QuestHelper mod, it'll tell you where to go for every quest you get

Those with skulls are impossible for you to kill on your own, it means they are 10 or more levels higher than you

Your first character is harder. You don't understand much until you get into it. If you ever start a new character you'll be surprised how much faster you go since you know what's going on.

Does anyone know why my character won't hold her hammer? Since I upgraded she won't hold it though it is there in her profile? same with the shield, I have been clicking etc but nowt happens

Hmm not sure, check the UI options, could be an option to hide your weapon/shield like there is an option to hide your helm.

They are in an instance (dungeon), if I remember correctly Upper Blackrock Spire. Planning way too much and one member of the group just snaps and runs into a big fight, getting everyone killed.

I just knew that Leeroy was AFK or something, and when he came back he just ran into whatever they were going to do (obviously something dangerous, probably important.)

zigzag, you can't use every weapon in the game, it depends on your class. The weapon that you can't equip may be something you either can't use with your class, or you need to train in that weapon type or something. When you hover over the one you want to use, is there some red writing in the popup near the top? If so, that means you won't be able to use that weapon

It was okay before,but there is red writing now it says durability 0-30. so have I 'broken' it?

I didn't say there definitely was, I said to check just in case there was Since she said it was in her characters profile I assumed she meant the weapon just wasn't appearing on the screen.



She said it is a weapon she has used before though



Ah, that is the problem. When you die, all your items take 10% durability damage, if you use the spirit healer they take additional damage (25% if I remember correctly). When they reach 0 you can no longer use them. You need to get them repaired. This can be done at any of the non player characters (NPCs) who sell weapons or armour.

also you should check out http://wow.allakhazam.com/ when it comes to WOW there's no site better. It lists every item, armour, class, quest, mob (monster thingies you kill). Its just a awesome site and i highly recommended. Also has maps and if you get a co-ordinates addon you can use the co-ordinates on the site to take you exactly to where you need to go if for example you have trouble finding a monster or quest location.

I beg to differ... http://www.wowhead.com is awesome, and is the only site I use! Then again though, people are entitled to their own opinions, and competition is what makes the sites become better. That, and it's easier to remember how to spell it!

just had a quick look at that one and don't agree. Doesn't have coords or maps for quests. Also Allakhazam was the first real site to index all the wow data and most other since then simply borrow their data.

Agreed, I've always found wowhead to be far and away the best WoW database.

After levelling almost 4 70's now, there's not a whole lot of information I need more than what wowhead.com has. (Plus with having Lightheaded and Cartographer addons... win) To each their own, just like when I used thottbot while others had started using wowhead, though.

Okay haven't played for a week cos was away, signed on last night , starting playing then message came up that server was going down, then got cut off. this morning signed on and I had been assigned to different realm so accepted but nothing is happening, says connecting then I get disconnected from server Any ideas?

EDIT: It appears I have lost Muli my realm where I was playing has disappeared and if I sign onto a different realm she isn't there !!

Wednesday is maintenance day for EU realms. On wednesday mornings your realm will go down for several hours. If your realm is down when you sign on, it puts you on a different realm. Don't worry, you haven't lost your character, just try signing on later and it should be back to normal. There should be a message on the login screen about the maintenance.

No it isn't lol... though when you resurrect I wish they wouldn't put you right back surrounded by 8 Defias mob... I died 5 times gave up in the end and used spirit healer

Sometimes you need to try the click-accept-and-run-for-your-life option. You don't have to be right next to your body, as long as you've got the box asking if you want to resurrect. Click the button and leg it. But yeah, sometimes you'll have no other options but to use the Spirit Healer, if you died right in the middle of a camp.

Can you buy armour or do you have to loot/quest it?
