I checked all threads here and didn't found any thing about this! so here we go.
maybe somthing to be add to the next release...

Like some others "COMPONENTS" I would like to see a option in the IP download where admin can password protect a category of there choice.
Wy!!!, because by offer downloas people com to your site to get stuff.
some of those people want it all to be free, and will try to do anything in there power to get what you are offer for free.
So It's a battle to try keep your files as secure as possible..

any chance this can be add into the next release.
