can we host gallery on different server apart from current IPboard?
we mainly want to distribute load and bandwidth
if not, can we set "upload folders" on different server? such as we setup FTP function on admin and let members upload images into another server?

You can't install IP.Gallery on other server than the one on which is IP.Board. I'm not sure if you can store images on other server (since I didn't tried that), but I think you can't.

It is like that many image hosting script will alow , otherwise one server is not enough, not to say server load issue etc

There is no *easy* way to store the files on another server. You could do some crafty things at the server level (symlink a directory to another box and stuff like that) but that's completely outside of our support.
