What is your favorite amusement park ride?

Mine would be the Thunder and Lightning. It's at the park I used to work at:

Very fun. If you sit on the correct side, when you're up in the air, you are looking straight down at all the people walking by. Wikipedia says it goes up to 60mph and up to 4g's.
Mark.
Air at Alton Towers, UK - it's a rollercoaster, but you sort of lie as opposed to sit:

Top Thrill Dragster is an awesome ride in the front happy.gif

It's a tie between Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure, and Rock'n'Rollercoaster at MGM Studios.

I've definitely got to go with Rock 'n' Rollercoaster at MGM Studios! Very fun to ride. Although, Tower of Terror (or Terror Tower, can't quite remember) at Disney World Florida is pretty thrilling!

Millenium Force @ Cedar Point. I love TTD too, but it's too short (time wise tongue.gif) to be a favourite wink.gif

Mine was Hypersonic XLC at Kings Dominion:

But it is no longer there.

I am going to Kings Dominion next Saturday. I guess I will see if what they replaced it with is as good.

I also quite enjoyed Revolution at Six Flags Kings Dominion:

Yeah, I had to wait like 45 minutes to ride it. Bit much for the length of the ride, but considering I was able to skip the extra like 15 minutes to get in the front, it was that much better (the benefit of being a single in a group of 5 tongue.gif)

Think of going there this summer in August, but without this roller coaster, I find there's suddenly that much less of a purpose of going (unless they replaced it with something better/as good).

I used to work at Cedar Point! Anyways, Top Thrill Dragster and Millenium Force are great, but my personal favorite is Maverick! It may not be a tall coaster, but that first initial 95 degree drop is awesome!

have to agree with RocknRollercoaster at MGM. 0-60mph in 3 seconds is pretty intense, then a proper all the trims roller coaster ride in the dark!!!

haven't done Hulk yet. But am going to Florida for 3 weeks at xmas - will have to try out the park at Busch Gardens...

I can't decide.
I've been to almost every park besides cedar point.
We have a local one and I love The Xtreme Swings which are identical to skreid's. At islands of adventure it's the hulk, at mgm it's rocken' roller coaster, busch gardens was hard to remember but it was a blue coaster in which your feet are hanging. I've been on so many it's really hard to decide. I love all rides original.gif

It looks like they've closed it now though, which is a shame sad.gif

Looks like a rather amusing ride to be on. tongue.gif

I don't think I've been on many of these types of rides before. What exactly happened during it? Was it just a ride through wacky scenes or was it rollercoaster in the dark, or what?
John
It was like a ride but it was on water, so you're like in a boat sort of.

I got stuck in it once and had to leave via a fire exit pinch.gif

Hmm... Looks a bit like "It's a Small World After All", the ride at Diseyworld/Disneyland/whatever. After a day at that place, I hated the song. wink.gif

If you're going there, definitely stop by Montu. Awesome ride. cool.gif

As for my favorite... I'd have to look at the list. I've been on too many rides (mostly roller coasters though) to pick out a favorite out of them. blushing.gif

For some reason, I've always liked the Sidewinder at Hersheypark. It's short and simple, but I have always liked it.
