This may have been asked a hundred and one times already but I couldn't get the search to locate anything.

So the question is, will the current versions of the Blog(1.4.1) & Gallery(2.2.3) be compatible with IPB 3.0? If not, how long after the release of IPB 3.0 can we expect to see them? The question really is, are the communities going to have to turn off those features for a month or so while they are developed, or can we expect them very short after the release of IPB 3.0?

Hey,

Nothing will be compatible with IPB 3. All mods need to be recoded..etc..

IP.Gallery, IP.Blog and IP.Downloads will be released at the same time as IPB 3 is.

EDIT: IP.Converge will also come out the same date.

But it shouldn't take long for them to get updated to work with IPB3, I wouldn't be surprised if they are working on it now as a side project.

New versions of each of our components will be released alongside 3.0. The current versions will not be compatible, but you won't have to shut off the features while we update them.

We have no plans to release an IP.Converge update alongside 3.0. The current version will still be compatible, and we're a bit....busy....at the moment with other things to be working on Converge.

You're talking 'bout Converge, isn't it ? Others AddOns won't work... right ?

Official IPS AddOns will work. We cannot vouch for addons made by third-party developers.

Will there be upgraded addons though (aka New Features) ? Or just made compatible?

It's a litte confused!

For example: IP.Gallery 2.2.3 will work on IP.Board 3.0 ? I don't think so... at least I saw that. We'll have a new version of IP.Gallery, right ?

Gallery 2.2.3 will not work with IP.Board 3, I assume there will be a Gallery 3 launching at same time

Well I assumed all the same as well. I just wanted staff confirmation that they would be released along side of IPB 3.0.
